Giglio di pace (2021) by Fiorella Ivaldi, PAR, Portico of Octavia, Rome IT
In June 2021 I was invited by artist Fiorella Ivaldi to take part in a collective performance she had conceptualised, by the title Giglio di Pace. Fiorella Ivaldi wanted to honour the memory of Pippa Bacca, the young visionary performance artist who was brutally murdered in 2008 in Turkey during her Brides on Tour journey. Pippa wore a wedding dress, a symbol of purity and peace, as she traveled through war-torn countries.
Similarly the group of performers I was part of wore white. We also had a white lily each which we were free to offer a member of the audience, after walking amongst them slowly.
